The story of my mother and Whatsapp

It has been five years since Sami went to France to undertake his studies in engineering. He’s courageous, ambitious, smart, and highly sensitive. Sami returns to Lebanon three times each year, in April, August, and December.

Nada, his mother, is 55 years old and will not work. When Sami announced to her that he would be likely to Paris to review, she was proud but additionally anxious. Scared and worried, she started sleeping less through the night, thinking about how her son would survive life in France. From the cold to women to food, everything worried her.
Before Sami left, he showed his mother how to use Skype and promised to call occasionally to update her on his life, but he wasn’t sure this be adequate.
Nada spent lots of her days waiting for that Skype notification to determine and speak to her son. Every time Sami returned home, he realized that her face increasingly showed signs of anxiety, which worried him a whole lot. He became anxious but was convinced that his diploma from France provides him having a better life.
August 2017. Sami has just landed in Lebanon and goes the place to find see his parents. He looks at
his mother’s face and sees different things: she is smiling and looks relaxed.
What is happening since 2012
Combined with technological advancements, WhatsApp was brought to the planet. This is revolutionary in lots of ways. Surprisingly, it changed Nada’s life. She’s a fast learner and received a smartphone as a gift from her son. Sami is now able to share many specifics of his life with her. Instantaneously, through voice messages, she will hear his voice whenever during the day. She could also video-call him even though he’s all the time, in the different country. Sami sometimes shares pictures of his lunch, weather, articles of clothing he wished to buy, and also photos of his new girlfriend. Whenever she likes to anxious, she sends Sami an email, and a lot of times, she receives an
instantaneous response.
Technologies have been criticized a whole lot lately being a reason families are becoming distant, however in some instances, specifically for people living abroad, it has changed their lives.
