Solid Timber Household furniture at Buywood

A great deal of love goes into the bits of solid timber furniture created at Buywood, through the quality workmanship of our own professional craftsmen to your input like a client commissioning a custom made piece. With this post we would have liked to provide you with some clues about what differentiates the timber furniture made at Buywood from other furniture makers across Australia.

Excellent Solid Timber
At Buywood Furniture we use top quality, recycled solid timber from sustainable sources to create unique, timeless home furniture. Once built, our timber pieces undergo a radical sanding and polishing process by skilled polishers. As each bit of furniture is specialized at our Alderly workshop, any one of our furniture designs can be custom made using the top quality timber which you decide on.

Custom Made Furniture
Our specialty at Buywood is creating custom made pieces to match the exact needs of our own clients. People in our team enjoy meeting customers personally on the one-to-one basis to create the requirements and be sure that the solid timber furniture they commission is a perfect fit for home. Lee Kenny, person who owns Buywood Furniture hand sketches all designs made by the Buywood team, and oversees each design from initial drawings to final polishing. If you have been linked to designing your furniture piece, you’ll be invited to the Alderly workshop to evaluate its progress, and our experienced team will help you with installing the piece in your home.

Four Generations Strong
Lee Kenny is often a 4th generation furniture maker who works across all the custom furniture manufactured by the Buywood team. He prides himself on the traditional way of furniture making, which decelerates the assembly process and utilises traditional joinery techniques to create pieces that keep going for a lifetime. Currently if the future of Australia’s manufacturing marketplace is uncertain, Buywood Furnishings are proud to have been Australian made and Australian owned for four generations of craftsmen.
