In an attempt to overhaul its educational system and prepare more senior high school graduates for the global economy, the U.S. recently introduced a whole new pair of educational standards, called the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), for K-12 education. Typically called just “Common Core,” these standards outline exactly what students should know about following your completing every year of college in 2 key areas: English Language Arts and Mathematics.
