A brand new 2016 Xmas rock-POP song has been written, created and then studio recorded in a Phuket recording studios in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main intention of providing awareness and exposure for the Phuket charity and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket web site .
The tunes title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs sound is a unique up-tempo rock n roll track. Mark wrote and semi studio recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo track since then awaiting the opportunity to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark started the recording process and used local session players to studio record the track over a 6 week period. The track contains 8 differant tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the lead vocalist ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket island the mixing and mastering was done in the United States as a result of Mark needed the very best outcome and quality. The track is currently ready to be listened to and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ Website.
The main purpose of studio recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many people to the Tsunami Day website as possible and then we hope in-turn they will be kind enough to give to at least one or every one of the Phuket charities, and to also download the song.
Another absolute goal is to be able enough downloads of the track to fund and set up a Phuket live music pub with open stage and studio / training room on Phuket, which will present free instructions and tuition to local underprivileged children from the local colleges and children’s orphanages. Currently ‘La QingTing’ is not open yet but the internet site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day internet site to market his song Tsunami Day that was influenced from his own personal experiences while he was working in Patong back in 2004 when the Tsunami hit Patong on boxing day. As with ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and children’s Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there is numerous ways to greatly help including a Phuket Hotel and cheap flights to Thailand booking system. Every dime helps.
