A fresh 2016 Christmas rock-POP song has been written, composed and then studio recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the key goal of bringing attention and exposure for the Phuket island charities and children’s Orphanages that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket web site .
The songs title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks sound is a special up-tempo rock/rock-pop track. Mark wrote and semi recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo song since then waiting for the chance to record once again. In August 2016 Mark started the studio recording process and used session players to studio record the track over a 6 week period. The track contains 8 separate tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the lead singer ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket island the mixing and mastering was made in the USA as a result of Mark wanted the most effective result and quality. The song ready to be heard and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ site.
The main aim of studio recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many people to the Tsunami Day site as we are able to and then ideally in-turn they will be good enough to give to 1 or all of the Phuket charities, and to also download the song.
Another main goal is to get enough downloads of the track to fund and setup a Phuket live music pub with open stage and studio / teaching room on Phuket, that’ll provide free classes and tuition to local underprivileged kids from the local schools and orphanages. Currently ‘La QingTing’ is not currently open yet but the website is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day internet site to promote his music Tsunami Day that was influenced from his own personal experiences while he was living in Patong back in 2004 once the Tsunami hit Patong on boxing day. Much like ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there’s numerous methods to simply help including a Thailand Resort and cheap flights to Thailand booking system. Every dime helps.
Credits: Mark would like to credit his sponsors: Michael Dietvorst (CEO of Oriental Living), Stuart Baker (GM of Food Hygiene Asia), Alan Cooke ( MBE ), Adam Goodman (GM of Two Chefs Restaurants) and Cassius Rolfe-Johnson (CEO of Phuket Home Services).
