There are many different lotions and potions open to take care of your hair and skin currently that it is challenging to choose the right one. With an outing to your local drugstore, you may be greeted by row after row of shelves brimming with various products, all promising to operate wonders and build miracles. I do think the sole way to find out which items are good for you is usually to experiment and try on your own. Certainly one of my favourites that I have been using for quite a while now could be argan oil.
Sometimes called ‘liquid gold’, it is a natural product, obtained from the kernels of the argan tree which can be native to Morocco. It is usually utilized as a moisturiser plus products to tend your hair. It’s because the fact the oil carries a high nutrient content and it is rich in fatty acids, anti-oxidants and vitamin e antioxidant that’s vital for healthy skin and hair. It is usually renowned in making hair soft, silky and shiny and to produce wild hair more manageable. Other reported important things about argan oil for hair range from the promotion of healthful hair growth, prevention of scalp dryness and itching along with the restoration of dry and damaged hair. As a non-greasy, easily absorbed oil it is used as a skin moisturiser that may benefit dried-out skin particularly. It is also recognized for it’s anti-ageing properties and a lot of advocates of argan oil have stated the way it helps their skin conditions such as acne and eczema. I have used best oils for dry skin to assist in treating dried-out skin on my joints and yes it worked very well for me personally and left my skin beautifully smooth and soft without irritation.
Due to it’s beneficial properties, celebrities including Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron, Kylie Minogue, Madonna and Taylor Swift are users of argan oil to help look after their hair and skin. It’s even starting out show up in mascara formulas as it is claimed it will help to create your lashes longer plus more lustrous. My locks are very dry and contains a wiry texture (it almost seems like fine fishing line) and also the oil in it’s pure form can help to add moisture and softness to my hair. Even if you’re lucky enough to get have naturally soft hair, argan oil is a nice finishing touch to incorporate extra gloss and shine.
Although finding shampoos, conditioners, hairstyling products and skincare products containing argan oil is not hard, because of the oil’s rarity they are offered at a relatively high price. As I mentioned before, the oil is taken from the argan tree that’s seen in southern Morocco. The traditional method of extracting the oil was to collect argan fruit, dry it, extract the nuts, crack the crooks to reveal the kernels and then to crush these phones release their oil. The task was done manually and took fifteen hours of labour and thirty two kilograms of fruit to make just one single litre of oil! Currently the kernels are mechanically cold pressed (heat damages the oil’s chemical properties). The tree is rare, extracting the oil is labour intensive… therefore, the high price. However, thankfully just a little oil goes a long way.
The scarcity with the argan tree is the place the problem lies. There are many products available on the market now which contain argan oil or are marketed as ‘argan oil’ or ‘Moroccan oil’. However if you check out the label, you can find often other ingredients (including silicon) in larger quantities than the actual argan oil. Cosmetic companies need to give your very best in order that the production of argan oil is sustainable and also an exceptional, untainted by other oils or substances.
How do we know you are receiving bona fide? In case you are buying a product containing argan oil – look at the ingredients. Be aware of ‘argania spinosa kernel oil’, it should be up high the ingredients list and ideally, the product or service should contain as few ingredients as is possible. The more ingredients that the oil is when combined, the less capable the oil will likely be. In case you are buying pure argan oil, ensure it is in the dark coloured bottle because light passing by way of a clear bottle can stop working the oil’s chemical properties. Some goods that are marketed as argan oil also contain a carrier oil including olive or sunflower oil. Also be mindful of the value you’re paying. Argan oil does not have to cost a bomb but at the same time, it is just a rare oil that is certainly labour intensive to create therefore isn’t usually sold with a ‘giveaway’ price. The most effective argan oil product isn’t necessarily the costliest but don’t forget the phrase, ‘you get what you pay for’.
