Remember when finding comfort school meant buying a few notebooks, a brand new box of crayons, and new shoes? In case you wore a uniform to high school, you almost certainly got some of those too; if not, you’ve got a few new outfits. That was it.
Well, times have changed. The availability list now contains items which used to be supplied by the colleges – like scissors, glue and tissues. Every child needs a new backpack, notebooks, paper, pens (red, blue and black), glue sticks, ruler, tape, scissors, markers, folders along with a calculator. When you have two children and also you shop the sales, you’ll probably still find yourself having to pay greater than $100.00 in supplies alone. Which doesn’t even count the brand new clothes your kids “has to have” or fees that are needed for art projects, lab costs, etc.
Don’t even get me moving on the supplies, including furniture and appliances, your child needs for college. Can it ever end?

1) Recycle – Confirm everything you currently have at home. You almost certainly have assorted crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc. available the home. Put these together in the pencil box and will help you save a few bucks.
2) Re-use – Kids believe that last year’s backpack has to go, but a quick trip through the automatic washer might give it new life.
3) Reduce – Does your youngster have a notebook from last year which includes three pages of written material inside it and 77 blank pages left? Do you find this notebook in the bin – or worse – the trash? Now’s a fun time to talk about waste and keeping it as small as possible by getting probably the most use possible from every item.
